F.A.Q.

How does it work?

Independent contractors arrive to a staging yard to acquire staging order. The contractor reports to the factory site to access the released RV and delivers the RV to a designated staging yard. The contractors receives a fee payment for each staged order.

What is our current need?

In August/September CWRV is seeking independent contractor shuttlers for the Goshen, IN area only.

What else do I need to know?

Independent contractors leasing their truck for local shuttle operations must process an application similar to the over the road contractor.

How much does it pay?

Local shuttles are paid per staged unit. The total daily revenue is determined by the number of shuttles accomplished within the DOT required hours of service. Drivers can earn between $45,000 and $70,000 gross, annually.

When do I get paid?

Drivers daily unit staging pay will be posted the very next day by 12noon. The total daily pay will post to the driver’s Comdata account and all Comdata posting transactions can be accessed on driver mobile app.

Do I have to log my hours?

Yes, in accordance with the DOT hours of service mandate, and the FMCSA 395.1 (e)(2), drivers are required to log. “Local” log training will be administered during orientation.

How often do I work?

As often as you like. You are an independent contractor and have the choice each day to arrive at a designated yard and provide service. The shuttle team leader will let drivers know each day of the needs for the day. If you wish to shuttle each business day Mon- Fri, you may do so. There will be times when CWRV operations will only select a specific group of drivers to provide daily service.

Is training provided?

Yes, all independent contractors applying to provide local shuttle service will submit an application just like the over the road drivers. Once approved for orientation, specific shuttle training will be provided during the 2-day orientation at the CWRV corporate office in Elkhart, IN. Shuttle drivers will also have access to “shuttle Ops” tab on the CWRV mobile app, loaded with aids, tools, tips, video tutorials and more.
